Whatsapp Reconnecting

These settings have resolved my issue.

Go into settings.

then tap on WhatsApp.

look for 'Local Network'

Mine was turned off. Turn this back on .. now i can make calls on wifi.

Please try the below steps as laid down. It works for me and the issue is now resolved.

I did whatsapp re-install but didnt help. Finally, I had to reset network settings and accept the notifications request post reset. That resolved the issue and whats . IOS 14.2

Settings --> Reset --> Reset Network Settings.

first I did reset all the settings, then I had to unpair and re-pair the Apple watch along with the settings suggested by AzizBhimaniMax (I Allow for the new notification of iOS 14 which is "Whatsapp"Would like to Send You Notifications)

Request you to Reset All Settings only. Go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings.

Let me know if the issue still persists.

I’m facing this issue when I make WhatsApp call to another iPhone user on WiFi. If I call android user then not an issue.

so please check.

Same issue here. whatsapp calls on WiFi USED TO WORK.

I turned phone off then back on.

I’ve tried forgetting the WiFi network, and then reconnected.

All Notifications were already on so I turned them off and then back on.

WhatsApp and iOS are updated.

whatsapp calls only work on data.

whatsapp calls will not work on WiFi - once making or answering a call it then says “reconnecting to (name)” with the recurring beep sound. It will reconnect for a second and then gone again back to reconnecting.

whatsapp messaging will work on data and info.

I’m facing same problem. I tried enabled all notification, allow location for WhatsApp, facing problem while connecting for wifi and cellular both.

please advise steps to fix the problem

I am also facing the same issue over WiFi calling on WhatsApp. This issue started post the iOS 14 version update and there are no fix to it yet. Checked with the WhatsApp developers, there are no issues from their end as the same is working on other user’s iPhone. This is surely a bug in iOS 14 which Apple needs to resolve asap. It’s really frustrating of not able to use your fav app.

As per Apple support team, they are putting this issue on the app developers of WhatsApp. I told them that this has nothing to do with the application as it’s working fine over cellular network. Apple needs to check with their iOS developers on priority basis as the number of users affected are increasing day by day. From the beta version this issue has been highlighted then why the Apple developers didn’t worked on this issue. It’s a serious issue.

I got the same issues like what’s up reconnecting issue when I make audio or video calls with my I phone Xserve max. Can anyone help me steps to resolve this issue. This problem really frustrating me

Thanks, this totally worked. My Sons phone the SE (2020) updated to ios14 a few days ago and this problem started, he thought it was due to Spotify download or set up of google nest so glad I came in here and checked. Thanks again.
