CarPlay Audio vs. Guidance Volume

For several weeks now, when I plug my phone into my car to use CarPlay and want to change the volume it automatically defaults to adjusting the guidance volume. It doesn’t matter what app I’m in.

I found a fix for this issue on the Apple discussions. I have to make my phone forget the car and it will go back to audio volume. BUT. I have to do that every time I get in the car. Is there another fix? I had hoped that updating to iOS 14 would fix it, but it didn’t.

Controlling the volume in car when using CarPlay I enjoy using CarPlay mostly for map directions using the Apple Map app on my iPhone 12. But, I am not able to adjust the volume of the audio from the app giving directions. It is almost impossible to hear the directions. Adjusting the audio volume using he volume controls in the car makes no difference and adjusting the volume on my iPhone also makes no difference. I must be missing something! Can anyone help?

iPhone volume stays low after disconnecting from CarPlay If I have volume low in my 2019 GMC playing music from iPhone, that volume setting stays low when I disconnect. If I don’t manually turn volume back up, I don’t hear alarm go off or hear phone ring. The dealer says they’ve never heard of this issue. Any ideas on how to get iPhone volume to go back up to where it was before CarPlay takes over?

Why is the Iphone Volume Low through car stereo I know this question has been asked before. I don’t believe it’s the connectivity or the cars software. Have Apple enabled a volume restriction on the IPhones software And if so how can it be removed. I am an adult and should be able to decide for myself what is a safe volume when listening to music. The volume is only low when music is being played. When making or receiving a call the volume goes up. If the volume cannot be altered when I want to listen to music in the car because of Apple software restrictions then the iPhone is nothing more than an expensive brick and I will move over to another phone manufacturer.
