Bad WiFi after iOS 14 update

After the iOS 14 update my WiFi speed is very slow, on my other phone with iOS 13 it is 20 times faster also the signal from the provider is bad compared with my iOS 13 device. Besides that the battery is draining very fast. The health app does not work anymore. The widgets can be opened while the phone is locked. The phone is getting very hot. Until now i am not happy with iOS 14. I tried turning the phone off and on but it does not help. (iPhone 11 pro max)

I have tried both Reset Network Settings and a full Erase All Content and Settings. These provided some temporary improvement on my iPhone 7 Plus but not a permanent fix. Today my WiFi speeds are woeful. My work laptop (Windows) is absolutely fine, however.

My partner’s iPhone and iPad (both also running iOS 14.4) are having similar issues.

My battery is draining very quickly and the phone is warm to the touch.

I don’t know what was in iOS 14.4 but neither my iPhone nor my iPad is giving satisfactory performance. Sort it out, Apple. 😡

Well I was directed to the Genius Bar about two days after purchase the clerk didn’t even bother to touch the phone told me that I should go home and do factory restore and that would resolve the problem guaranteed, it didn’t work called support they then scheduled a visit to a nearby Best Buy and then 15 minutes and canceled it and now the phone has to be periodically have to do network resets so that I can connect to the data network, I am with the most expensive carrier A bunch of BS

I don’t quite understand why, but this week I’ve noticed a significant improvement in connection stability to my home Wi-Fi - even using my VPN service. Bandwidth and speed are back to normal.

Maybe Apple issued a patch behind the scenes, I don’t know.

I have only once had to “forget” the network and then reinstall, but that was it.

Perhaps Apple realised that people were unhappy and did something about it? We can only hope!
