My apologies, I misunderstood the engineers. You actually have to do it ON-SCREEN

Hello, thank you for taking the time, however it does not work. There is nothing we can press to initiate anything. The Logitech says the keyboard is up to date, but no pointer/trackpad and no possibility to switch to french. After numerous e-mail with Logitech no progress has been made. Very sorry i did not go for the Apple magic keyboard.

Hello, what worked for me was touching Q W E simultaneously and then tap the globe (all on the screen not the keyboard) after that follow the instructions , don’t exit the app and don’t touch any keys of the keyboard until the update is done. Now the trackpad works fine. Latest IPadOS brings some issues with the trackpad, both with logitech and apple magic keyboard, what fixed this for me was disabling assistive touch and it’s now ok. Hopefully apple will have a fix for this soon. Anyway i hope this helps!🤞🏻

Stay well!

ps: If you still have issues afterward you might want to reach out to logitec tech support

Hello, i’m not sure i fully understand, did the trackpad stopped working after initiating the Logitech update? Was it working before? Do you see the pointer now and is it a lot bigger even at the smallest settings? In my case when it did stop working after we initiated the update with the logitech app what corrected the situation was pressing simultaneously Q W E and then tapping the globe (on the screen not the keyboard) in the Logitech app, then let the app open and let it complete it’s update. After that if you still have issues you might want to disable assistive touch. On my ipad it fixed the problem except i no longer have the ‘’virtual’’ button on the screen. Hopefully Apple will address this in a future update (hopefully soon). If all this fail, you might want to reach to Logitech tech support. I hope this helps.

Stay well!

Good morning, the logitech works fine unless i turn on assistive touch but i’m learning to live without it, the dedicated keys are helping a lot plus i really like the feel of the keys. I did not buy it from apple but through logitech and they sent a replacement plus gave me a full refund with their apologies! So i have a free keyboard case, so all and all it’s not too bad and it is my understanding that the apple magic keyboard is also affected.

Stay well!

I got the same issue. The keyboard and trackpad work ok, but the Logitech Control app is locked on the “Firmware up to date” message. I thought I supposed to have access to extra backlight controls but so far nothing. I did tri QWE+World, QWE+Alt/Option, and QWE + cmd. They all unlocked the ability to run updates, and so I did, making sure I didn’t touch the keyboard at all. I guess I can’t complain like the other users as my keyboard and trackpad are working as intended. Let me know if you found a way to fix the app.

Just spoken with the logitech support and i got the solution:

Hold QWE + 🌐 on SCREEN keyboards (on the app)

Do not touch the keyboard or the ipad (I was told it could cause hardware/software issues due to the sensitivity of the process.

Since logitech isnt native but has security encoded from Apple, the process is very sensitive.

Please try this hope it works for you as well!@
