My csv numbers file saves to zip but when I tap it say successfully unzipped but can’t find the csv file

Trying to convert a file to csv to upload to a system that requires csv.


when in numbers I export in csv and share but numbers sends a zip file. when I tap the zip file to open it says it successfully unzipped but can’t find the csv file. What am I doing wrong?

iPad Pro 12.9-inch, 3rd Gen, Wi-Fi, Cell

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! It seems you're unable to locate a file after unzipping a file on your iPad.


Check out the information in the following article: How to open ZIP files on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support


"How to uncompress a ZIP file 

  1. Open the Files app, then find the ZIP file or archive you want to uncompress.
  2. Tap the ZIP file or archive.
  3. A folder is created containing the files. To change its name, touch and hold on the folder, then tap Rename."


See if you're able to locate the file using the steps above, and attempt to search for the file: View files and folders in Files on iPad - Apple Support
