Other storage taking up over 2/3 of my 64 gig phone.

My 64 gig phone, after continuing for weeks of deleting files and apps because I’ve received daily notices that I’m out of storage, shows 43 gig of storage space being taken up by “Other.”

Numerous other users have posted the same problem. It is recommended to back up your phone and restore it but unfortunately Apple tells me I don’t have enough space to back it up.

This is a problem the developers need to escalate ASAP.

Hi,

About cached files in "Other"

Finder and iTunes categorize cached music, videos, and photos as Other instead of actual songs, videos, or photos. Cached files are created when you stream or view content like music, videos, and photos. When you stream music or video, that content is stored as cached files on your device so you can quickly access it again.

Your device automatically removes cached files and temporary files when your device needs more space.

It isn't the solution, but also if the other storage is so full it shouldn't block the operation...

I suggest you this thread...maybe you have already read it...
