Camera access (being hacked?) help!

I got a pop up saying: “(null)” is Using Camera Access to Control Connected Cameras. I will attach the screenshot I took. I accidentally clicked ok instead of settings. Does anyone know what this is? I am not sure if it’s an app or someone gaining access to my camera, audio, and files.

Ok, I think I have cracked it.

So I was doing research on what (null) is and found another Apple support communities thread that was from someone who had had the same issue except with an app. And it turns out that the app hadn’t downloaded/synced properly with the phone so they reinstall and the app and it worked fine. And most of you are saying that you can’t open photos after seeing the message, so my thinking is that it is something to do with the photos app so my thinking is that if someone who had seen the message were to reinstall from the latest iCloud backup or maybe restart the device and that might help. I haven’t seen the message since restarting my iPad so I though it might work on other devices? Let me know if it works.

Cheers.

There is nothing in settings, messages or apps named null. However, I looked up and saw that iOS 14 has new security features where this same message I had attached shows up, but it is usually an app you may have like lets say Picsart - just like the example I saw on the webpage. It shows this message when an app is using camera access without your consent. I am not sure if it’s an app that may have not installed or deleted properly, or if it’s something to cause concern.

I went into my settings to see what apps have access to my photos, camera, and microphone, but they were only apps I had given access to. I still am not sure what this message was about, but the new update does have the security feature (which i stated) of notifying you with the same message we had gotten when an app is trying to use camera access and such without consent. Usually you would click “allow camera access” for consent. And with research I have done, when this message pops up it is from apps you have on your phone that you have not given access to.
