Microphone not working after update
I experienced microphone greyed out during calls after updating to iOS14. The latest update received ie iOS 14.0.1 also didnt fix the problem. What do i do?

This issue, at least with respect to the iPhone 7, isn't related to iOS 14. The audio IC on your iPhone is failing and is the cause of the issues you're having with the microphone. This is unfortunately, not an issue that Apple offers to repair, and you will need to either find a third party repair shop that can do board level repair, or invest in a new phone.

Very frustrating indeed. It is useless to have a phone which can’t make calls.
I have the same problem. The camera function also broke after an update, and then came back upon a further update. But the microphone is still not working after about 4-5 updates. Really frustrating.

Sounds like an effective business model. Break it so they have to buy a new one.
iOS 14.2 only fixed Camara and Flash Light, mic still dead
It depends what the model of iPhone this user has got. This issue doesn't occur on all models.
