Accountsd Mac cpu is high

Had this issue too. Did a Reboot in SAFE MODE ( Hold Shift at startup ) let it run for a few minutes and then a Normal Reboot and all is normal again

I solved this problem by repairing disk permissions (disk utility) and boot.

Hi, on my MBP, Disable Keychain in iCloud, Reboot and then re-activate my keychain will work for me.

When I disable Keychain in Cloud, after 2 sec it re-activates itself without my intervention... Strange

Kill all the .....d processes over Activity Monitor with over 10%usage plus commerce process and after that quit process „Window Server“

relogin and it works...

So, after logging out of the Apple ID, "accountsd" immediately dropped down to 0.1%

Does someone here has a clue how I can fix that? Is the only way to stay logged out and wait for an Apple update?

Same here. I'm baffled how this can happen. Logging out from Apple ID solved it but this is not a long term solution. I have no idea what I can do next.

I was helped by a way to log out of apple account and after that kill the accountsd process in system monitoring, upgrades to version 10.15.7 did not solve this problem :(

Same for me. When I restart the MacBook accountsd ramp down and I can work as normal.

Yesterday i could not work because cpu was overloaded. Today cpu was down, but now it moved to RAM. Killed the process so it freed up, no idea what will happen now..

Log out with your Apple ID!! Look at the Sreenshot what happens!!

Same problem with MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2018, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports), fixed by installing combo update.

Logging out of AppleID (Preferences --> Apple ID --> Overview --> Sign Out...) and then back in solved at least temporarily for me.
