I've been stuck on the "It may take a few minutes to set up your Apple ID." loading screen for over 2 hours. Tried restarting and factory restoring and the same thing happens. Also tried switching the internet over to a hotspot on my phone and no luck. This is also a new account I'm using. Also a brand new device.

For anyone who is having this problem, I ended up messaging customer support and the solution that worked for me was putting the device into recovery mode, connected my device to iTunes via computer, and then restored the device. Didn't see a lot of other solutions out there so I hope that this helps. Good luck.

Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.
You are entitled to 90 days of free telephone support from Apple. Try contacting them.
Work through the screens to get an email or chat option.
People have posted they had to let the device run overnight to allow the setup to complete.
