iOS Auto Zoom Issue
Any time I click a static search bar (or any form input field) on a website iOS auto zooms in on the field which often cuts off the field lables and always requires that i manualy zoom out after entering the value. This happens in both Safari and Chrome browsers. It has occurred for as long as I can remember with several different iphones and ios versions. It has always bothered me and I finally thought I would look for a solution. All I found were lots of website development sites providing recommendations for how to build websites that don’t allow it to occur... so obviously I’m not the only one irritated by it.
I have an iPhone Xs running iOS 14.0
Is there any way to disable it?
An example of it occurs when searching for an item on nowinstock.net
here is before you select the search bar:
here is after selecting the search bar:
that was safari but the same thing happens in chrome:

after:
The problem is compounded when filling out several fields (like for shipping info) because it zooms in so far you usually cant see what field you are on when using the “tab” arrows to move on to the next field unless you manually zoom out.
I really hope there is a way to turn it off and if not, there are enough people out there trying to find work arounds for their websites that there should be.
