Tried Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings

and removed the wifi network on the phone.

Same problem when I try to connect to the hotspot on my Ipad.

WIfi on the ipad Pro with ios 14.0.1 is working fine.

Lawrence, Here is an update. After my last phone call with Apple Support, they finally gave up and sent me to the Apple Store. They ran diagnostics on the phone at the Store, again. Everything checked out. I was able to reproduce the wi-fi issues for them in the store on the Apple wi-fi network. They said it could not be iOS so they replaced my phone. I came home with the new phone and the exact same problem persists.

I have spent hours with Apple troubleshooting this issue. Through the process of elimination:

It is not my wi-fi network at home. I was able to reproduce the problem in the Apple Store on their network. And the problem only occurs on our iPhones running 14.3. All of our other devices work fine.

It is not my iPhone hardware. They replaced the phone and the problem continues. And it is happening on another iPhone Xr and two iPhone 11's.

The only other option is something that changed with iOS 14.

Lawrence,

Thank you for your posting. I misjudged you from previous postings. You seemed to be advocating for Apple, but obviously I was wrong.

I am amazed at the polite feedback from the Apple community. I’m angry that Apple eliminates due diligence before releasing one bug filled release after another.

Apple knows the Apple community, that have placed their trust in Apple can’t just change to another platform without serious consequences. (Lost information)

Hope you can find a solution:)

I've tried all "suggestions" from this thread, and spent hours trying to fix problem. Talked with my internet provider and ran multiple tests on my router, no issues there. The issue is definitely iOS 14, 14.1, 14.2, 14.3. I'm in the process of DL 14.4 to see is that fixes the issue on 1 of my apple devices. Currently only thing that seems to "temporally" work is turning DO NOT DISTURB and AIR PLANE MODE on then turning device off for a few minutes, then turn back on device and turn DND & Airplane Mode off then reconnect to Wi-Fi, that fixes the issue for a few hours and then back to Wi-Fi disappearing. ALSO found that my VPN wasn't the issue as this happened on multi devices and some didn't have VPN at all.

I have a WiFi router and a wifi extender. I constantly find that I am connected to WiFi but there is no internet. As a quick fix I have to deselect and then enable WiFi for my iPhone and it will connect back to the internet. A more permanent solution was to connect to my router and change my router channel to channel 11. This fixed my internet and now I am always connected.

14.4 does not fix the issue for me. It seems to have been less prevalent recently but not specifically since any upgrade. The work around that works for me is just turn wifi off and on again but it is sometimes a very short lived work around. I am certainly using more mobile data than normal at the moment.

I can only presume that it’s an intermittent issue and difficult to identify and fix but I am surprised it’s taking so long to fix when it seems to be affecting so many people.

So todays issue!! Wi-Fi disappeared & this time it was on my old iPhone 6s that has ios12!!! My 9 year old uses it....He was on youtube & it just stopped working, so he brought it to me. Wi-Fi symbol was gone, went to try to connect & nothing! No Wi-Fi networks would show up, at the same time, I'm on my computer using the same Wi-Fi & looking right at my XR that's also connected to same Wi-Fi!! We have tons of Wi-Fi networks around us (live in a urban area) & for not 1 to show up is beyond weird & frustrating! Had to do the turn DND & Airplane Mode on/off turn off phone then reconnect to Wi-Fi for it to work again. WTH is going on with Apple!?!?!? Anyone else have this issue with older ios?
