Cant update macOS catalina 10.15.7

trying to update catalina to 10.15.7 from 10.15.5

keeps coming up restart, done that, and reverts back to download. Is there another way.

I forgot to say, I have only 14GB storage left !!

After thought, DO Not install any Apps Cleaners. They will really mess up the entire system to the point the macOS will not function at all.

I have tried to update my iMac to 15.10.7 several times, but it keeps hanging up early in the process during the restart. Plenty of space available on HD and no app cleaners installed

I can install update only at ≈40GB

App Cleaner = = = Clean My Mac. These things destroy your operating system. Go to developers Website and learn how to Remove the application

Clearing some space worked for me. I had 25 GB free and it would not work. Managed to free quite a good bit and with 60GB free it went smoothly.

I try to update but it says it can't be updated on this computer

how does it need 20+ when I have always updated my Mac with having only 5GB?

Its working, i free up 50+Gb actually i just wanted to free upto 20gb+but i clean up a lot so, thank you much for your help.be blessed everyone

I have more than 8GB free space too and the update shows it needs 4,78GB. Most of the storage is under phone back ups. Can’t put them on portable hard drive

all of my taken up storage is in system and other, I can't delete any of it and can't even get to it, anything I can do because I deleted a lot of programs and more and still only have like 6-8 gb
