iOS 14 and iOS 14.0.1 Sound Issues

  It is sad the trouble we have to go thru for such an expensive product that they themselves cause the problem clearly and won’t support their customers. As much as I like iPhone I may go to android on my next purchase. And i for sure will not do any more updates!

Same lack of sound issue on iPhone 63 running 14.3.

Sound is extremely low when playing music or on speakerphone.

I knew this is not the way it's always been.

Awaiting solution like everyone else sadly.

I’m also facing the same problem. I contacted apple care but the guy kept me for hold and then it got disconnected. I wonder when they will sort this problem. Is this some kind of strategy so that people get fade up and buy a new one

Since few months we are suffering with this problem. It seems Apple are not taking care of it. Around me there are few people are completely tired with it, they bought another brand and it seems they are very happy (with very less expensive devices).

I was about to buy iPhone 12, but I think I will not do it waiting for the new update 14.3xxxx to see, if not fixed I think I will go for another brand.

14.3 does NOT fix the issue. Apple has known for some time now that updates destroy the sound on many devices yet they do nothing. After years of iPhones, my next phone will be android.

For what they charge for devices their support has went down hill whether to force buying new phones or what ever the reason. But either way, eventually this type of neglect to their customers will make them the bottom of the chain as it has others before them. Sad!!!

Apple I thought you were top of the line in every way but apparently you are not!

I am also experiencing low would levels from my phone on my car audio. Since updating to iOS 14 & 14.0.1 last year.

Its actually very dangerous when answering a call while driving. It makes you want to play with the car audio buttons which is extremely dangerous.

Apple needs to resolve there issues or provide us with a fix.

I guess apple has no intention in fixing the problem. No matter what you do, the buzzing and the microphone problem does not end while playing or recording. Such a shame, a big company likewise, yet does not care about its users at all.

seems like strategy to force to update phones. Sort of worked on myself, I had to upgrade phone, because my iphone 8 after update to ios14 was very quiet, flashlight stopped working and both cameras. Their support said my phone is broken. If it's broken why last update fixed front camera? Apparently it was hardware fault, you bunch of liars!

I'll be looking for another brand, apple these days is piece of c***. I use it only because their UI is good and I have my smart home linked to apple devices. But nothing lasts forever. Apple will lose more and more customers soon.

My girlfriend mistakenly let her iPhone 10s automatically update to 14.4 two days ago and now neither of our iPhones are usable with no sound on phone, ringer, clock alarm, or with any videos viewed in Photos or on YouTube etc.

Why is Apple continuing to allow this seriously defective upgrade to be used that is destroy iPhones? Why are they apparently ignoring this problem that has me looking at android phones as a functioning replacement for my formerly beloved iPhone?

I was convinced to move from android to apple and seeing how the last few updates have impacted the device, I really wonder if i made the right decision.

There are no responses to our concern. Isnt customer satisfaction important to gain new customers and retain existing ones?

please let us know when a fix would be in place.

Ever since I updated to ios 14.4 lost call volume, siri is practically nonexistent can’t wake her up, wifi hotspot hit or miss. It’s frustrating I wish I could go back to ios 14.3 Where there was peace. Jandz

tengo el mismo problema en mi iphone 11... se escucha muy bajo en las llamadas y los audios de whatsapp... tengo que usar altavoz o auriculares porque sino es imposible escuchar... encuentren una solución a esto!!!

Agreed.. Never thought I’d switch to Samsung, but unfortunately, I have no choice.. I am so tired of this crap, apple gets sued, they pay out/fix everybody’s phone ..and start behaving- now going back to their old scheming ways.. Really Apple?? ..Do you really need to behave this way?? ..Ahh well, you will be caught again, do another payout maybe and repeat?? ..While Loyal customers taking the brunt -until we just get so sick of this treatment and move on.. I never hear of these issues with Samsung?

On the 8 with ios 14.4. Music audio is at least two volume presses lower than my old iphone 5 on ios 9.3. And don't get me started on call audio. Muffled and muted. Barely audible on max volume. What in the world is going on? I just want to roll back. The new ios doesn't even look good.

I changed phones and will NEVER update again. Apple is crooks who force you to buy their product and then offer no support. The whole sound issue is intentional and the only thing that will convince me otherwise is for them to FIX IT!!!
