Apple Wallet Not showing AMEX credit Card history and notifications

i talked to Apple support and was told this feature was removed in iOS 14. It’s not a big or something that needs fixed. I was told all we can do is send a message to feedback about wanting this feature back and hopefully it will get added back. But it looks like it was removed to get people to use Apple Pay more since that’s the only transactions and notifications that come through.

Download the AMEX app if you haven’t already. There is now a “Purchases” option in the notification settings. I had to delete and download the app again as the notification tab wasn’t working, but it’s all good now.

Had the same issue since iOS / iPadOS 14.

Today applied the iOS / iPadOS updates 14.2 and - hey! - transactions and notifications are back!

I just talked to support and was told they removed this feature in ios14 and all I could do was to submit feedback to Apple and hope they bring it back in a future version. For what is the reasoning to remove this is beyond me? But I suspect they want to encourage people to use Apple Pay more that’s why the only notifications you see now are Apple Pay ones.

Apple removed that feature in iOS 14. It’s not a bug that they need to fix. Only way to keep it working is not to update to iOS 14. All you can do is email Apple feedback and request they bring that feature back but they probly won’t

I have a solution. I had the same issue. If you download the AMEX app, then within the app go to ACCOUNT >NOTIFICATIONS > PURCHASE ALERTS>ON >SAVE, you will get purchase alert notifications. Just make sure on your iPhone or ios device, notifications for the AMEX app are enabled.

I can only repeat: After installing iOS / iPadOS 14.2, my Amex transactions are shown again on both my iPhone and my iPad. I obtain the notification when a transaction is processed and I can see the complete history of all transactions (not only those issued by Apple Pay).

Of course if you roll back the iOS it will work. No one is questioning that. It’s the fact that they removed the feature in ios14 . This has been confirmed from multiple Apple techs . Not Apple store employees. Call Apple. It’s not a bug. They removed it so only Apple Pay notifications work.

they clearly changed something in the update and now trying to act as if they never had all transactions come through. My wife still hasn’t updated her phone and is still getting all the transactions, I updated and now only get ones I use Apple Pay for. This needs to be fixed . Wish I never updated. I have caught multiple fraud attempts on my cards by getting these notifications.

You may have to sign out of your Apple ID and back in or remove and add the card again. if those fail ago here - Apple Pay Customers

Not sure what you mean it’s false that Apple removed this feature but that’s true. Call Apple yourself and be transferred to the correct department. Apple store employee have no clue what they are talking about. And yes you can download the Amex app for notifications but the Apple wallet notifications now will only show transactions when using Apple Pay. This has been confirmed, call yourself .

And of course If you roll back your iOS to 13 it will work again. That’s what anyfix probly did for you. You don’t need to pay a company to do that

I just ran the update to ios 14.2 and transactions are now appearing for me.

there is nothing to fix, the feature was removed from Apple wallet. Of course you can roll back your iOS version but why pay anyfix to do that? Is that your company ?

I have the same issue as well after downloading iOS 14 and now iOS 14.0.1. My AMEX card history is blank and I no longer get notifications on my purchases, which was such a useful thing. It helped me monitor any card fraud.
