I am using MacOS Catalina 10.15.7. and the contact names and first few "preview" lines of the message have disappeared on my left hand sidebar. It used to show the contact picture, name and a preview of the message. Now all I have is a circle with the contact picture! I have tried widening the sidebar pane, but I can't. Thank you.
iMac Line (2012 and Later)
Hover your cursor over the division between the pictures and the message and when the cursor looks like a bar with arrows going left and right, click and drag to make the left pane bigger
Thanks so much, but I tried that over and over and it doesn’t work. I closed and reopened the app, restarted the computer, and signed out and and back in. Nothing helped.
Update-I have a mouse and trackpad. I've been trying with the mouse to widen the sidebar and just now tried the trackpad. That worked ! I wonder why the mouse didn't work. Anyway, it's fixed. Thanks
