‘Other’ storage in iPhone is taking up 90% of the space on my phone

For a month or so now, the ‘other’ category of storage keeps growing. Every time I delete photos or apps the ‘other’ category grows and I’m unable to store anything else on my phone. I can no longer take photos or download apps. How can I solve this?

iPhone 6, iOS 11

For error 4000 Go to Settings/Touch ID & Passcode and turn off the passcode. You should then be about to complete the restore with iTunes on your computer. You can turn on the passcode after the update succeeds. This is apparently a bug in iTunes where it doesn’t recognize a locked phone. There will likely be a fix soon, but for now this is the workaround.
