30" Apple Cinema HD Display dual DVI with MacBook Pro, 2016?

I have a 30" Apple Cinema HD Display dual DVI, an apple miniDisplay port to dual-link DVI adaptor, and the subsequent adaptors to USB-C; but my MacBook Pro, 15" 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7; Intel HD Graphics 530 1536 MB; does not seem to talk to the monitor. Is this an impossible dream? Is there anything that will make it work?

I know the monitor is old, but the matte surface! It's beautiful!
