I was clearing my disc space and deleted IMovie on accident, and so all of my home movies have been cleared. They are not in my trash can, and I'm not sure about time machine. I have opened time machine but it is only showing usage from today?

You can restore from Time Machine or from the iMovie Backups folder.
To get to the iMovie Backups folder, follow this file path from the Finder menu:
Go/Home/Library/Containers/com.apple.iMovieApp/Data/Library/Caches/iMovieBackups
When you get there you will see a list of previous backups of your iMovie
library. Click on one dated just before you deleted your library. iMovie will open in
that library. Navigate to your projects browser (where your projects are displayed as icons)
and see if your projects are intact.

You must have deleted the original media when you deleted your iMovie library. You would need to redownload your original media.
Try your Time Machine backup again. Here's a link that explains the process:

UPDATE:
I have found the cache, and my files have come up. However when I open them, the media isn't showing and it says missing file and try importing original data.

Thanks for your reply. When on the library, I don't have an option saying containers. When I search containers, only one for keynote comes up (com.apple.keynote).
