On iPhone Xs iOS 14 and 14.0.1, camera click makes a loud sound when Portrait mode is used

Camera click sounds are working when using regular "Photo" option, but when using "Portrait" mode, can hear a loud camera click sound.

None of the options "turning to silent mode", "reducing the volume" is helping.

Please fix this!

I had the same issue and did the following to try and resolve:

'Reset all settings' in general
You have to redo all your settings. I found that if I disable 'system haptics', i found the problem came back. so i leave system haptics enabled and updated other settings and it seems to not have such a loud shutter sound

I have this exact issue— it’s definitely since the iOS 14 release, and every time an update is issued I check to see if it’s still an issue. It’s shockingly loud, and somewhat alarming.

Interesting, thank you. I tried skipping the full settings reset and just re-enabled system haptics and so far that seems to have done the trick. Bug must be connected to that for some reason.

Same issue as this on my iOS 14 iPhone XS in both whatsap mode and camera portrait mode
