Macbook Pro 17 inch late 2011 installed latest High Sierra 2020-05 security update.

This update was installed on Sep 26 2020 and it caused my MacBook Pro 17 late 2011 to go into reboot loop! It took me over 4 days to finally get a restore from my TimeMachine backup. I actually had to disable the GPU via Single User Mode in order to get the Mac Restore Utility screen to appear. Please look into this as to why this security update created so much trouble for me. I have had this MacBook Pro 17 for over 8 years and this is the FIRST time I ever had this problem.

You are not speaking to Apple here just users like yourself.

the Security Updates for High Sierra and Mojave and the version update to 10.15.7 in Catalina

are causing a lot of problems people as is seen in these communities.

This all goes to prove the diminishing quality control Apples software engineering team are suffering.
