I installed iOS 14 on my iPhone 7 Plus, and now the alarm BLARES!! The phone's volume setting is low to moderate; the Sounds/Haptics is set to low/moderate. The alarm volume overrides those settings. In Alarms there is no way to set a volume.
When the alarm goes off, using the 'volume down' button snoozes the alarm instead of adjusting the volume.

Thanks, Idris. I am using the alarm function in the clock, and it happens regardless of the sound or song chosen for the alarm. The problem stopped for two days and the volume was normal, but then it went back to blaring even though I had not changed any settings on the phone prior to the volume dropping or raising again.

Why is the alarm volume so loud? I turned it down all the way and it still blares out.
Here is what worked to fix my issue:
I went to Settings then Sounds, under “Ringer and Alerts” turned off the toggle “Change with Buttons” and then slid the volume slider to low. That is it!
Or flip the switch “adjust with buttons” to return thing to the good old way.

I just followed so of the tips in this forum. But they are definitely it good solutions because they change settings for everything else on the phone not just the alarm app, which is frustrating.
But that also changes the ringer volume. Why can’t the alarm app have its own volume setting?
It is absolutely ridiculous. Android has the perfect alarm with normal volume and other settings out from the box and tons of free alarm-apps in store and iOS doesn’t.

It worked for me. =)
I was able to resolve this issue by disconnecting from all connected Bluetooth devices. You don’t have to “forget” the devices, just disconnect. Now the alarm volume matches the volume of the ringer.
