Recently we have noticed that our iMac is running SO SO SLOW. We have looked at the activity monitor and didn't see anything unusual running. We use Safari as our browser. Could we have a virus? Is there a good FREE program or APP to use to identify our problem. Last resort is taking it in to Apple and have them check it out. Thanks for any help you can give!!!

"Slow" on 21.5-inch iMacs seldom turns out to be a RAM issue but rather the underspec mechanical hard drives Apple tended to install in 21.5-inch iMacs made between 2012 and 2019.
