Macbook refuses to update to Catalina 10.15.7

I tried to update MacOs Catalina from 10.15.6 to 10.15.7 using automatic update, to no avail. Macbook restarts, but nothing installs. Downloaded and installed the update manually, same result. Somehow it refuses to really do anything at all.

I tried:

• restarting in safe mode
• resetting PRAM
• Freeing extra space on harddrive (currently 11 Gb free)
• de-activating auto update

All help appreciated!
