iOS 14.0.1 issues

Recently updated my iPhone SE 1st generation to IOS 14. The update caused battery percentage issues, screen glitches, and unexpected phone on/off. Did a search on google and appears it is a known issue and iOS 14.0.1 should fix the glitch. Well I did the update and still stuck with the issue. Called support and they advised to bring the phone to a repair centre for further review. It is a two year old phone and it has been used sparingly. The battery life still shows 87%. I don't see any issues with the battery.

Analytics screen has the following message: bug_type: 225, os_version: iPhone 14.0.1 .

It is an inconvenience to take it to apple repair centre and be without a phone meanwhile. And I am assuming if apple can't fix it then am I recycling the phone?

I am a loyal apple user, but this is frustrating!

Anyone with similar issues? any solutions to it?

TIA

The same thing happened to me, with my trusty iPhone SE. Also two years old. I'm so sad.

I am traveling for a month, and -- because I've never had update issues before -- just updated my software to the 14.0.1. Then I left for a meeting. My battery (max now at 83%, ok!) died suddenly as I was on my way, so... no address.

Since then I've had major screen touch issues: dead upper screen, and keyboard flickering that makes messaging impossible.

Yesterday right before the update my phone was fine.

Help.

I have the same thing, and I feel this update in conjunction with my iPad, and also my new pc and laptop I installed iTunes on one and Apple Music on the other and I got all kinds of security notifications. Even though all devices and computers are on the same IP address and WiFi. My iPad stopped working and says to restore. Took it to my local Apple store and they said it can’t be restored. It’s just all too weird my iPad stopped with the update of my phone and the security issues I’ve had logging in to my new computers.

Same thing in Canada. They wouldn't allow a APPLE store appointment booking online. called the store and they allowed walk in. Went there and the associate outside told me it would take 2 hours for the appointment. Once my turn came I had to wait another 30 minutes for the tech to call me in. And the whole ordeal took less then 5 minutes for Apple tech associate to tell me my phone is obsolete. And to add insult he told me to pay $349 if i wanted a refurbished apple se 1st generation phone as a replacement for my broken one. Issue caused by APPLE and instead of making client first ...they want to profit from it. A phone that in buyback they only offer $30 they wanted to make a profit out of me.
