Lost photos from iCloud back up

So I got a new iPhone and backed up my iCloud before resetting the old one. Once it had completed I restored the old one and began setting up my new iPhone but once I had all my photos from the past 5 years had vanished. They aren’t in the recently deleted folder in the cloud or anywhere. Is it possible to retrieve them I really need them back.

Can I recover fully deleted photos from the ICloud. I impulsively deleted something’s from my phone last night and completely cleared them from my recently deleted. Today I tried to load an old ICloud save and I can’t find the photos anywhere. I thought things were backed up to the iCloud where they could be recovered, separate from the data on the IPhone itself.

LOST PHOTOS - Didn't all upload to my iCloud from old phone! I had to hand in my phone back to my ex-employer as I left the company a month ago. The night before I tried uploading and saving everything to the drive, as I had been paying for increased storage etc, however my photo's kept pausing and now I have lost 2 years worth of photos. I have 2015-2018 and 2021, but nothing in-between. Can I restore all these old photos to my phone as they were on the final backup my phone did? I've looked for them on iCloud photos and cannot find them, but hoping they'd be saved as part of the old backup?

Were you certain the photos were in iCloud, and not solely on your device? If they were on iCloud and you had enough iCloud storage space, then the photos should've synced to your device.
