hello all new here

i'm trying to pair my series 3 42mm apple watch to my iphone xr 14.0.1 latest update

my apple watch will not pair with my phone all i get is

"activating apple watch"

then it goes to

"checking for updates" a few seconds later it says

"unable to check for update u r not connected to the internet

so i my bluetooth and wifi is on i have good cell and wifi service i tried while connected to wifi and cellular data same outcome.

i have reseted my apple watch to factory settings numerous times i turned iphone and watch off at same time and turned them back on nothing changed.

i0 even tried with a different iphone and it does the same thing. i cant get past the pairing section on the watch to update it from the actual watch so i don't know what else i can do please any help would be appreciated thanks and i know my battery is low in the pictures but i started this when it was about 53% so i know thats not the issue

Try uninstalling all profiles if you have any (Settings > General > Profile > Click on each profile > Remove Profile), and reset network settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings).


Thereafter, connect to the internet via WiFi, and pair with your apple watch again. The update should come through successfully. This worked for me after chatting with an Apple Support Specialist over the phone!
