Several months ago, I texted our work custodian. After that, I began having people that I text in my contacts list, ask me who this was. I told them Joyce Alexander. They said it told them I was David Benefield. I took David Benefield out of my contacts hoping this would clear up, but it has not. On their end, it asks them to update to a new name and photo. Can you please help me fix this?

Is the one you use with Messages marked Your Card? In Settings/Messages/Send & Receive, does the other person show there?What is Start New Conversations From set to?
I just checked that. I have three cards. One is for my desk phone, one is for my emails that I get on my phone which is separate from my work emails and the card that I have for my texts from my phone. They all say Joyce Alexander. Any other suggestions?
The one I use with messages was marked me for my card. I've been asking everyone who texts me and asks me about it, to just hit the x on their side where it says it could be David Benefield. It's been going away they said. All those setting you mentioned looks right.
