I have a CD stuck in my USB superdrive. Resetting the SMC doesn't help. The drive has been working for a week or so prior to this. It accepted the CD when I put it in but the CD doesn't show up in Finder and won't eject from the keyboard.

New USB SuperDrive not accepting CD disc Hello, I just opened a new USB SuperDrive. It does not accept the disk. I watched on YouTube how the CD Drive is supposed to accept it automatically once inserted 3/4 of the way. There seems to be something blocking it from being pulled into the apparatus. Any help is most appreciated! B

macbook pro 15 inch 2015 - insert CD in usb drive and system locks up I am trying to insert an old CD (Halo) from 2002 into my usb attached CD/DVD drive. The drive spins up then finder locks up and only frees up if I unplug the CD drive ... drive works fine on my Thinkpad. Any suggestions? The CD/DVD is macOS 10.3 compatible and shows up as HFSPlus in a "get info". Has Apple pulled CD/DVD support?

Please restart the computer while holding down the eject key.
