I am trying to export a video, in Final Cut X. It gives me the option to choose any of the available possibilities. I can choose the location where it should be, I can press "save", but "no" performs the process and does not give me the final video ...

Mac Pro, OS X 10.11

Exporting takes time. Are you sure that nothing is happening?

Press command-9 to open the “background tasks” window.

Nothing happening there?


If indeed sharing is doing nothing, try deleting preferences.

To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting FCP X and click Delete Preferences. The application will start in a default state, and open an “Untitled” library.

Reopen the library you were working on, set the preferences the way you like them, and try again.
