Mail app Lock Screen notifications

Is there any way to stop the mail app expanding to show me the whole email when I force touch the notification from the Lock Screen? All I want to do is either mark as read or delete but I normally have to scroll to the bottom of the email to do so. All other email clients understand this and instead just bring up an action menu whenever the notification is pressed with force touch.
