I have an iPhone 6 with software version 12.4.8 . I have recently lost email. When I tap the "Mail" icon, the mail will load for a second, then the screen will go back to the main menu screen. If I try it a second time, the screen goes right back to the main menu. I tried deleting all email accounts, rebooting the phone, and reinstalling the accounts, but it did not work. Help, please!

Try deleting the app and then reinstalling it from the App Store. Between the deletion and re - installment of the app, you can shutdown and restart your iPhone as well to ensure a clean installation. See whether that resolves the issue.
