When I take my ECG on my Apple Watch S5 - digital crown does not respond

When I take my ECG on my Apple Watch S5 - digital crown does not respond, but if I press the digital crown it seems to work, and records my ECG. I get a message that says "You don't need to click the crown" BUT that is the only way that the watch will record my ECG....if I do not press the crown, it does not work.

This is not helpful. When I gently touch my digital crown while running the ECG app, NOTHING happens. Only when I press it hard does it function. I am in Boston. It should work as your links describe.

Thanks
