Lost Word file on ipad pro

Thinking that what I wrote was automatically saved, I did not save the word file. Now I cannot locate the latest version of my document. Some conversations mention using “File” tab. But Word on ipad does not have a file tab... Any solutions to recover lost documents?

Recovering lost saved files under " On My iPad" folder or storage I am using my company iPad, I use word on my iPad Pro and save the documents to a word folder inside “on my iPad”. Recently, I couldn’t save my documents so I removed the word app and install it again and all my company word documents disappear from inside the word folder in “on my iPad”. Lost latest version of extremely important Word document after OS update I have just updated to the latest OS. Now an extremely important Word document has been lost. It only opens as a version from yesterday. Please tell me how I can recover the latest version. It was also backed up to iCloud, and even that version is the old one. Apple. Fix this.
