I have a Mac Pro 3,1 (early 2008) and the graphics card (8800 gt) stopped working and I’ve been looking for a new one. I found a Gtx 760 on Amazon and I was wondering if this would work natively with El Capitan (OS X 10.11). Many thanks!

I think what you get with that card is no Boot-up screens, no startup Manager, no recovery Mode, no Safe Mode.

Thanks, are there any other gpus that you’d recommend on the cheap that would have startup screens and everything on OSX 10.11 that you’d recommend?
Used Mac-Firmware 5770 has has always been a steady bet, if you have no desire to run Mojave and later. It requires only one Aux power cable.
The PC version of the same card has no boot screens.
