Do I have to do anything to replace Adobe Flash Player?
I have received notice that Adobe Flash Player will be discontinued after 2020. Do I have to do anything to replace this?

I read the EOL above but I am still unclear what I have to do. Is there something that Apple uses to replace Flash Player?
There’s nothing you need to do except follow Adobe’s advice and uninstall Flash ASAP. Flash was replaced by HTML5 (a worldwide internet standard) years ago. HTML5 has been built into macOS for years too. After the first of the year any website or app that still requires Flash will start failing as ALL browsers drop support for it.
yes you should uninstall flash.

Were you given a resolution also trying to use the Ikea planner
The only possible resolution is for IKEA to update their site. Until they do so, once Flash is gone, those tools will be unusable.

What can I use now that Adobe Flashplayer is not supported?
There's nothing you can do about it. Websites need to convert to HTML 5.
As has already been stated. Nothing replaces it. Flash is dead.

Have some items saved that use flash player. What replaces it or are those items permanently lost and unreadable?
Permanently lost and unreadable starting 1/12/2021. This is Adobe’s doing, not Apple. You’ll just have to hope some clever programmer comes up with a way to play that content.
I've seen some discussions elsewhere of companies that are providing canned, sandboxed solutions for enterprise customers with business critical flash based applications to enable them to keep them running with minimal risk...
Of course, the price is astronomical... but it should be, considering the 3 1/2 year notice Adobe gave regarding the death of flash... Any business stupid enough to let things fester this long without taking action, deserves to get reamed if they need to keep them running.
Adobe announced the death of Flash 3 1/2 years ago in July of 2017.
Yes. It's legit. All support for it ended at midnight. There is a 'kill switch' in all Flash players , server tools, and development tools that will permanently render them unusable sometime within the next few weeks.
What are you ranting about. Adobe (the owner of Flash) has abandoned their product. It’s dead.
Bro it’s EOL so no Flash.
All content that runs on Flash will be blocked on 1/12/2021.
Just hit uninstall
What r u waiting for HIT UNINSTALL
You don't need Flash to open PDF files, never have. Same company, different software. Safari will open PDF files on its own. The Preview app will also open PDF files. In addition you can download Adobe Acrobat Reader to do the same.

Adobe flash is no longer available. My on-line banking won't run without it, so I was wondering if there is a replacement for it?
I have never heard of a bank the requires Flash. Flash was for years the most used attack vector by hackers and I can’t imagine any IT professional for a bank wanting to use it.
Is it possible that, like others, you are confusing Flash with PDF? PDF documents do not require Flash but are a completely different animal than Flash. Same company (Adobe), different software altogether.
I read the EOL above but I am still unclear what I have to do. Is there something that Apple uses to replace Flash Player?
what to do post-Adobe Flash?
