Do I have to do anything to replace Adobe Flash Player?

I have received notice that Adobe Flash Player will be discontinued after 2020. Do I have to do anything to replace this?

I read the EOL above but I am still unclear what I have to do. Is there something that Apple uses to replace Flash Player?

There’s nothing you need to do except follow Adobe’s advice and uninstall Flash ASAP. Flash was replaced by HTML5 (a worldwide internet standard) years ago. HTML5 has been built into macOS for years too. After the first of the year any website or app that still requires Flash will start failing as ALL browsers drop support for it.

Apple is so beyond ******** for this because there's so many businesses applications I use that require flash. It's literally making it to where I can't even function unless I use Windows. Apple when you read this realize how (insert cuss word of choice) dumb you are.

Um... no.

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with Apple.

Flash was an Adobe product. Go complain to them.

Ok great, than yes, that will be asked in regards to uninstalling the application.

When I uninstalled the Adobe flash player, the drive is labeled as:

uninstall_flash_player_osx.dmg

Hope this helps you to know that you have the correct drive to remove it. Please correct me if I am wrong, anyone. :-)

I also deleted all the files that came with it, I had quite a few of Adobe files and they just took up space from having, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Flash Drive, I deleted both.

I have an anecdotal story form the Y2K era. A good friend of mine was an IBM field tech in those days and was visiting small businesses that used the smaller IBM systems (mini computers?). His job at the time was to update those systems to deal with the Y2K date change that was coming. Those updates were not free and some customers refused to lay out the cash. My friend would explain that if they didn’t update their system it would fail. Now we can debate whether IBM was customer friendly in charging for the updates but the fact remained that some were so stubborn in refusing the update that they didn’t understand the consequences of doing so.

So, whenever I click on something that won't load because Adobe Flash Player is no longer supported my guess is we out of luck using those sites? Need to be able to use these type of sites.

By the way. The website you posted a link to was retired and taken down in 2017, four years ago. Where have you been?
