reimporting files from camera doesn't work

When I imported files from a gopro sd card, and composed a movie, I could not export to youtube. I got the message reimport from camera/archive.

When I reimport, it starts reimporting files, taking a long time. Once this is done, I still get camera icone on the imported clips and I still can't export....

I was ready to export a video, and it says "This media cannot be shared while referencing media still on the camera" NOTE: The media in the project trying to export does have the camera icon on the media preview I tried to re-import the media, and let it copy, but it made a duplicate of the file, and still would not let me export. I tried exporting in Compressor as well, and it showed the files as "Missing Media", or played the clips with no audio, when there was audio. Anybody have any ideas, this is a great video I need to export and save.

Can not upload GoPro footage from SD card to iMovies Recently I have had an issue importing GoPro video to iMovies. I click on import and I can see my SD card and the footage. I click import and it goes into project media. I can see the footage and edit but its like it never leaves the SD card. When Im finished and try to share the project it says "This item cannot be shared while it is still referencing media on the camera" Its like it can read the SD carb but not upload it. I don't get the blue circle that shows it upload status when adding video to my project. I have made about a dozen movies in the past and uploaded them to Youtube so Im not sure what Im messed up.

I have imported my GoPro footage into Photos, then from Photos dragging them into iMovies for the first on my 2020 Macbook. However now iMovie only treats the movie clips as still photos, so they wont play or edit? You were right. Problem was caused by insufficient disk space.

Try to export to a Master File to a hard drive, then manually upload it to your YouTube account. If this works you could try deleting the YouTube share destination and then recreating it.

I did try to create master file on the hard-drive, but not external. Will try and let you know.
