When I search for an artist and try to click on them to look at there songs, it just stays on the search screen. Another issue I have is that when open an artists album it shows the cover art but it doesn’t show the songs.

It sounds as though you're able to search Apple Music, but unable to move past the search screen and unable to view songs in an album. Does this issue only happen with Apple Music content, or are you having issues with albums and songs you've purchased from iTunes?
Also, since having this issue have you verified that you're running iOS 14.0.1, have you restarted your device, and have you tested music on another device to see if the same issue occurs?
