Spam AOL mail account that’s not mine

I keep getting mail on my iPhone that’s says it’s being sent to account ***@aol.com I don’t have an aol account. This account isn’t under my accounts in the mail settings and I can’t block these emails it get rid of it. I saw someone else was experiencing this problem but no one responded.

I just saw this on another website and I thought I’d share it!

In Gmail (NOT the mobile app):

1) Go to settings

2) Click ‘see all settings’

3) Select ‘Filters and Blocked Addresses’

4) ‘Create New Filter’

5) Fill in the ‘To’ line with the address that you are receiving email for, but which doesn’t belong to you.

6) Hit ‘Create Filter’

7) Select what you want done with it. I chose to ‘Delete it’ AND ‘Also apply to # matching conversations’.

8) Move on with life.

Same! It’s like someone is sitting behind a computer laughing at simply annoying people by sending emails with ZERO PURPOSE. Come one, the subject like being something like “bUrn_f@t-iN-60_days” knowing people don’t open those not click them. What’s the purpose?

And the “to:” and “cc:” are even always my name. It’s like MynamanoJ@aol. checked header info and everything and I have no idea *** is going on!!! I get about 20 emails daily in every account on my phone!
