I've seen this question in forums but have yet to find an answer. . .
Whenever I'm on calls with people using my AirPods, the caller on the other end constantly complains about background noise. Something as simple as turning on the faucet seems to irritate them greatly. Is there a way to adjust/fix this?
I experience this too as I drive with the window open while on a call. I squeeze the pod and turn on the Active Noise Cancellation. Works. Blocks outside noises and people,on phone can’t hear anymore noise.
Were you using the phone app to make the call?
Have you tried in other applications like FaceTime AUDIO calls, WhatsApp, Messenger?
I do have other issues with the Pros jumping between iPhone and iPad. Also had issues with connecting to CarPlay in older Ford Escape. Finally unpaired and “forgot” the car, now if I want the phone I use the AirPods and music the car radio. No more music or podcasts through the CarPlay. Works fine, plus able to take a call quicker and clearer.
I've been on the phone app and facetime. Both seem to sound the same. Granted - some people complain about it more than others, but it's definitely an issue for them.
Darn! I wish that worked for me. I tried all settings while talking to people and they say that each setting sounds the same to them.
