Cannot uninstall Watch App or connect Watch to iPhone.

Recently bought a Series 6 watch, paired it with my iPhone 8 Plus. After 2 days of use, stopped getting notifications on the watch, screenshots don't get save to iPhone, etc. Also cannot open the Watch app on my phone to pair again. The app just opens and quits by itself. Tried to remove from Home Screen, but no option to Delete the app, only to move to the app library. After moving it to the app library, I see an option to Delete the app, but only with a 'Cancel' option (Check images).


Now my Watch is not usable, stuck in the pairing process.


Note: Both the phone and the watch are up-to-date.


Things I have already tried:

  1. Restarting the phone and the watch
  2. Resetting the network setting on the phone
  3. Resetting the Watch- It is stuck at the pairing step. I see a prompt to Connect to the Watch, but it disappears immediately.

We see you are having some trouble with your Apple Watch not performing properly in a few different ways. We want to help get that device working at 100% again! To start, try unpairing it from your iPhone using these steps: Unpair and erase your Apple Watch. Specifically try this section:

How to erase your Apple Watch if you don't have your iPhone
On your Apple Watch, tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. 
Type your password if prompted.
For GPS + Cellular models, choose to keep or remove your cellular plan.
If you want to pair your Apple Watch and iPhone again, keep your plan. 
If you don't want to pair your Apple Watch and iPhone again, remove your plan. If you aren't going to pair with a different watch or iPhone, you might need to contact your carrier to cancel your cellular subscription. 
Tap Erase All to confirm. This resets your Apple Watch to the factory settings.

Once that is completed, pair the devices again and see if the issue continues.
