Corrupt iphone? Serious issues!

Hey, I’m having some serious issues with my iphone. For the longest time its told me that my storage has been full when its not (my icloud storage was, but I upgrated from the 50 to the 200 storage plan and even after restarting my phone it still says that the storage is full, even though I have 150 of free storage now) Also My phone storage was never full, ive always only had 26.6 used out of 64GB. Other ‘symptoms’ occuring are that my apps are constantly crashing and it won’t let me download new ones. When I try to download a new app and it fails, the ‘ghost’ of the attempted app download will continue to pop up even though ive already deleted it. The same thing keeps happening with my photos, I try to delete them and sometimes theyll delete, but sometimes theyll leave behind a blank photo that now seems to random fill in with another random photo on my phone when I click on it. It also wont let me delete it at all and just glitches out. Another thing is that my messages sometimes delete themselves, ill have messages recently sent thatll dissapear and incoming messages that ill see as a notification but that wont be there once i go to read it or will disspear. Lastly when i search in my phone notes it cant look through them and acts like nothing is there, and my search history on safari keeps leaving and coming back.

I have tried EVERYTHING. and nothing seems to be working. I cant factory reset because i cant back up my phone to my computer. everytime i try it gives the message that an ‘error has occured’ with no further help. this! is ! driving! me ! crazy! please help me!

First, let's address your storage space understanding. I would like you to realize and know one important thing and that is that there is NOTHING that you can do to increase the physical storage capacity of your iPhone. Your iPhone's storage capacity will forever remain the same as the day you bought it.

You have purchased ➔ iCloud Storage from Apple where you can create and save your iPhone backups and synch (Not Store) your Messages, Photos, Contacts, Calendars, Notes and Reminders. Note that iCloud Storage is NOT an extension of storage capacity of your iPhone. This means that since the storage capacity on your iPhone is full, it will remain full.

All of the listed issues in your post point to one thing and that is that the storage is full on your iPhone. You will need to address this first. You mentioned that even when you deleted data from your iPhone then you were still unable to free up space. That tells me that the data is still on the iPhone and trapped in the "Other" category.

There are two ways you can try and address this-

  1. Update your iPhone to iOS 14 by using your computer. Do not factory reset your iPhone but connect to the computer and choose update instead. If that does not work then try-
  2. Please follow the instructions in this guide published by Apple ➔ How to Clear OTHER Category on your iPhone.
