airplay not showing

AirPlay icon no longer in Menu Bar, and in Sys Pref it says "off" with no option to turn it on

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.14

Thanks. Turns out the TVs got disconnected from the network, even though the computers stayed connected. Once I rebooted the WiFi, all is good.

I am not sure, but do you have something to airplay to, like Apple TV? Otherwise, perhaps it wouldn't show up in menu bar perhaps.
