My imovie is unable to resize an animated keynote import to the same length of the clip it will play with... have read all videos but mine simply does not resize .... thank you

A movie clip is the duration that it was shot in, and that cannot be changed unless you slow motion it. You can use the speed adjustment tool to do that.

To use the speed adjustment tool control click on the clip and that will give you a drop down menu. Click on Show Speed Editor to reveal a speed adjustment handle in the upper right corner of the clip that you can drag to the right to extend the clip and make it slow motion.

Could you post a screen shot that shows the problem? As I envision it, you are talking about duration of play. What type of animated slide are you using?

The blue and black box is an animated title imported from keynote. I'd like to extend it to the right so it matches the length of the clip below....
there is no background, its formatted to 1080x1920, imported as a movie with apple pro res 4444, self playing same res., ... not sure what im missing here
