That will only work if the printer supports Airprint. Older HP printers, like mine, don't.

It worked for an HP 4700.

If you try to fix this by using the HP utility it says “HPDM.framework” will damage your computer." This obviously isn't malware but some kind of stupid ******* match between Apple and HP.

This is a known issue due to an error at hp-apple. As a temporary fix you can reset your printing and install a generic pcl driver

Just go to System Preferences, select Printers and Scanners. Select your printer from the list then delete (-) it. Then add (+) your printer back and select the generic driver to use.
