Clicked on weird link in text message

I got a weird text today on my iphone. My birthday was two days ago and it said happy birthday and there was a link. I clicked it and it look me (on safari) to some video. I never started the video and I cleared my browser history and closed it out and deleted my text. Is it possible someone is now able to steal my information? Usernames, passwords, credit card #’s??

True statement. The only risk from clicking on a link is if you enter personal information on the page that opens after clicking the link. See—>Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support. iOS is probably the most secure operating system ever created.
