Hi Hoveyroad,
It sounds like your iPhone's volume is changing unexpectedly, and we'd love to look into this with you.
To help isolate this issue, we'd like to ask a few questions.
Thanks!
Hoveyroad,
Thanks for following up.
It sounds like the issue seems to occur when connecting to a Bluetooth device, correct? Does the issue persist when your iPhone is no longer connected to a Bluetooth device, or when it's away from the volume buttons on the accessory? If so, we'd like to get you in touch with our support team, so they can review some additional information.

Have a nice day!
I did all that many times. it was good for a couple days then volume went completely down yesterday after I changed some ringer tones and also in the truck with Ram Uconnect. Heading out in truck today so will see if it does the same. I am thinking it is with the default ringer tones.

Take care!
I have the same problem with my iPhone SE 2020. Connecting and then disconnecting my iPhone to my car's Bluetooth seems to be the precipitating issue. I have the latest iOS on my phone, the case does not seem to be the issue, and I have the same problem with the "Change with Buttons" both enabled and disabled. Please advise.
Yes it seems to be while Bluetooth is on. My Bluetooth has been off for the last 2 days and no issues with the ringer volume going down. My wife’s phone which is the same SE has done it at least twice in the last two days while Bluetooth has been on but not connected to any Bluetooth . I will contact Apple support.

Yes, it's the BT in the car that creates the issue. I have to manually increase the ringer volume after disconnecting from BT. A real pain and something I would NOT expect from an iPhone at this point! Integration with BT should be flawless.
Went 3 days without ringer volume going to zero then did it again this morning. Okay for the rest of the day.
I think it’s connecting to a Bluetooth device that does it. I have had Bluetooth off all day and Ringer volume stays up. Will operate like this for next few days and see.
I installed iOS 14.2 and that has fixed the problem.
Brian
By installing iOS 14.2 the problem disappeared.
I have downloaded and installed the update, so I will know soon if it works.
