using a new computer and one of the programs call for updating java

I just bought a new computer and one of the programs that I transferred that was working fine on the older computer now says I have to download a newer version of legacy SE 6 java. But the new computer says it has the java and won't let me download it?

So I can not run the program I need to use.

Any help would be appreciated.

Brand new computer macbook air. Transferred all of my info from my older macbook pro.

I run a downloaded program for home inspections. But when I try to open it in my new computer and it now won't open this program.

It says I need to update my java. But when I try to do the update it says this computer has the updated java

So here I sit stuck.
