Does Apple will provide Smart Battery Case for iPhone 12 Pro?

I'm sure the 12 will eventually get battery case since the battery honestly isn't all the great. Worse than the 11 apparently. I don't really have a problem with a battery case that only lasts for 1 full charge but I sure wish they made it in a different material other than silicone. I hate how its a dust/lint magnet.

I hope we get a case too for all the iPhone 12 models! I’d prefer a case over a magnetic attachment because I question the strength of the battery, especially if it will go in and out of my pocket every time. But, I have no qualms with having both!

I would love to get the extra battery and a dedicated camera button. Hopefully, we get more colors and leather options as well.

I purchased the 12 pro and my case for the 11 pro doesn't fit because of square sides. if they make one for the 12 it will not fit older models. Really annoying having to wait for accessories that we need.

You are SO CORRECT with regard to the outer material; the silicone is awful! They give us silicone & leather options for the regular cases so why not a leather option in the Smart Battery version of the case? That would be SO! MUCH! NICER!

I have the 11 pro and am holding off upgrading until they release a smart case for the iPhone 12’s. I would like to see a smart case for the 12 mini as well! I need power all day as I work outside far away from power sources.

What you said doesn’t make any sense. Try proof reading, it takes a second to do, instead of posting something that makes you look beyond unintelligent. How exactly could a case specifically designed for the new form factor iPhone 12 or 12 pro, give extra features to a lesser generation of iPhone?

I think they probably won't make an actual case with the battery built in, but more like the battery by itself that has MagSafe capabilities to attach to your silicone or leather case with MagSafe. I mean if thats not what they do, I think that would be an actual great idea.

The 12Pro is probably the model most in need of a smart battery case. Maybe the mini, too. The 12Pro Max has the best battery of the bunch.

It seems the SBC is always an afterthought for Apple, since it’s a tacit admission that the iPhone ships with an insufficient battery, model in and model out.

My 8 has become battery-pathetic on iOS 14. But we all know by now that that’s a feature, not a bug as far as Apple is concerned.

Desperately need this. The phone is a primary tool for work, and the extra power is a necessity for efficient operation. Also, the camera button is indispensable.

If only there was one or two more programmable case buttons...

Someone please tell Apple we spend more time looking at our phones screen today then we spent looking at the world/ outside so a Smart battery charger (SBC )is an absolute basic necessity. We don’t have to bother about SBC anymore. I think if Apple doesn’t produce its own model. Other companies are going to start producing it, just watch and it’s a shame you know because we want to use Apple products With our phones. I own iPhone 12pro.max and so thankful for Apple.

yes and I will tell you what is in my mind and I can clearly see why Apple is not interested in making this smart battery charger because defeats the purpose of the new wallet that magnets to the back of the phone you know, so if Apple is bringing the new smart battery charger, what’s gonna happen with this smart wallet. But still I think Apple has to prioritise the needs of the people, you know, what the people want Is not necessarily what Apple wants to sell to the people, you know, because I need a smart battery case 10x-times more than I need a smart wallet on the back of my phone. Who needs the wallet again On the back of their phone, when you can use the Apple Pay, you know, you can pay with your watch or your telephone any time. for me it’s ridiculous. come on Apple, get a grip.

Same for me i am stuck with iphone Xr , exactly because of this! I don‘t want to use third-party cases! It would also be pretty cool, if apple would make a Powerbank. You could see the charge state of rhe powerbank on your iphone.... yeah lol really looking forward to iphone 12!

I’m not comfortable with a “stick on” magnetic case. They got it right with the current style (iPhone 11) though I like the slightly thinner one of the iPhone 6, 7 & 8.

No aftermarket. No MagSafe which the cc wallet comes off in my pocket sometimes. Just a regular, like the other cases; case.

I agree with bballmarc.

They need an iPhone 12 Pro Max Smart Battery Case because a "stick-on" won't protect your iPhone if you drop it.

Another possibility (??) An "adaptive insert" to fit the current iPhone 12 Pro Max into the iPhone 11 Pro Max Smart Battery Case. I don't know the size difference on if whether something like that would work but if so, that might be a viable alternative.

If not, well then we need Smart Battery Cases for the whole iPhone 12 series. Tim Cook if you see this, please help out your Apple Product Supporters! We REALLY need this!
